Inventory Accounting Manager

Key member of The RealReal Accounting team focusing on Inventory Accounting Manager.

Accounting responsibilities which will include but not limited to: working directly with General Accounting and FP&A, preparing management reporting, and performing general ledger reconciliations in Blackline.

To actively maintain all reporting aspects of inventory movement across entire supply chain in our NetSuite general ledger.

This position will focus on Inventory Control for the Phoenix DC but not limited to support the duties with the other Distribution Centers, Stores, and Luxury Consignment Offices.

What You Get To Do Every Day * Create month-end inventory journal entries and prepare related general ledger account reconciliations in Blackline * Analyze month end reconciliation reports for variances to forecast and budget to complete flux analysis * Prioritize deliverables with General Accounting and FP&A to meet all reporting deadlines * Build internal reporting to support inventory account balances to call out opportunities and mitigate risks * Create and maintain an environment of continuous improvement by driving inefficiencies out of all processes while maintaining a controlling environment * Partner in the day-to-day inventory operations with cross-functional counterparts in our distribution centers and supply chain to develop and maintain policies and processes to handle new or existing transaction streams * Create joint venture with Loss Prevention on global inventory shrink reporting across all Distribution Centers, Stores, and Luxury Consignment Offices * Evaluate and analyze documents received from external departments for vendor purchase inventory and freight invoices * Prepare various quarterly/annual audit and financial statement schedules and ensure timely deliverable * Interface with outside auditors during quarterly and annual audits What You Bring To The Role * Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in an Ecommerce, retail, manufacturing or consumer products environment * Ability to relay verbal and written information concisely and effectively * Proficient in Excel, Word, and Power Point * Detail-oriented in a high volume environment * Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work with sense of urgency, accuracy, teamwork and cooperation * Experienced with GL systems (NetSuite preferred), Blackline, Concur, Workday, and WMS systems highly preferred * Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Finance, Business) The RealReal is the world’s largest online marketplace for authenticated, resale luxury goods, with more than 20 million members.
