Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm’s books and records, and by contributing to firmwide risk management and risk reduction.
This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley’s various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community.
Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley’s various businesses and its senior management team.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Institutional Securities Group Finance team is seeking to fill a position that requires a highly motivated and detail-oriented team-player, with strong analytical, technology, people and communication skills.
The successful candidate will be involved in various initiatives designed to improve the control framework, provide detailed analytics to internal clients, as well as supporting the P&L production team.
Primary responsibilities include:
– Be a point of contact for the business units; heavy client interaction.
– Drive analytics relating to business performance planning and analysis.
– Communicate findings from analyses tailored to various audiences.
– Perform ad-hoc analysis/projects for senior finance and business management QualificationsSkills required
– Strong academic background with undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
– Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting, financial reporting & analysis business experience required
– Prior experience with financial services or accounting firms desired
– Proficient with MS Office application, particularly, PowerPoint and Excel
– Team player with demonstrated record of initiative and resourcefulness
– Strong analytical, problem solving and innovation skills
