1923 Investments plc is recruiting a HR Assistant for a new business venture operating through a Master Franchise Agreement with iRiparo. iRiparo was set up in 2009 and is the leading after-sales services provider for mobile phones and tablets in Europe. iRiparo currently has 380 stores across Italy, France, Spain and the UK. iRiparo is backed by CPR (Cell Phone Repair) – a franchise with over 900 stores in the USA. iRiparo also sells second-hand phones and accessories.
Based in the North Rine-Westphalia region, and reporting to the Managing Director Germany, the HR Assistant will assume responsibility for the day-to-day human resources function including recruitment and selection, engagement, and retention. The HR Assistant will support management team members to ensure an engaging working environment in compliance with the brand standards, best practices, and labour legislation.
The tasks:
- Assist management team with resourcing plans, implementing resourcing strategies to identify candidates, recruit and retain the best candidates.
- Support the recruitment process in setting-up and placing adverts, acknowledge applicants, set interview appointments and conduct interview meetings.
- Ensure proper onboarding/offboarding process is implemented.
- Process contracts and related documentation prior to employment including application for work and residency permits where applicable.
- Assist in induction process, monitor of probation, definite contracts, and retirement records.
- Provide guidance and advice to management on employee and performance related issues.
- Attend meetings with employees and employee representatives, follow up on any issues brought forward and keep management and employees updated.
- Handle issues discreetly and maintain full confidentiality to ensure adherence to the Companies GDPR policies.
- Provide professional advice and guidance, within level of competence, on aspects of HR on employment, development, interpretation and application of legislative and statutory requirements, contractual issues, discipline and grievance procedures
- Keep abreast with all changes in legislation and implements any changes required.
- Maintain employee files, and any other satutory documentation required to ensure compliance.
- Apply for EU funding and other national and regional developmental initiatives and support programmes for the benefit of employees and the Company.
- Co-ordinate performance appraisal process.
- Support career development programmes and initiatives.
- Assist in co-ordination and execution of training programmes.
- Contribute as a team member to all other duties as and when requested by Senior Management.
The profile:
- 3 years experience in a similar role in an international retail chain preferably in the electronics/consumer goods sector.
- Fluency in German and English.
- Specialist knowledge in employment legislation and GDPR.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Hands-on attitude.
