Operate at a strategic business level to ensures projects/programs are in line with Company strategic goals
Consult with all levels including senior management, make recommendations, and influence decision-making
Leverage cross-functional internal and external relationships to drive initiatives forwardÂ
Plan and implement multiple and extremely complex projects/programs spanning across business areas
Determine key business issues, develop effective action plans and implement to successful conclusion
Responsible for initiatives aimed at advancing and aligning the health equity strategy and tactical workplan to reduce health disparities among specified populations
Managing the planning, design, implementation, training, and reporting of specified health equity initiatives
Working collaboratively with internal and external partners and stakeholders and with external community organizations and agencies to address identified priority disparities and improve health quality and outcomes
Facilitating community outreach strategies and partnerships towards health equity and best practices with identifying and addressing ethnic, cultural or racial disparities in health quality and outcomes
Acting as a point person and thought partner with internal and external health equity partners to guide adoption and development of strategies to promote health equity and identify and address health disparities
Your Knowledge and Experience
Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Requires at least 10 years of prior relevant experience
Masters degree preferred; emphasis on organizational change or public health required
Previous experience with Covered California, Exchange populations, or large contract implementation and tracking preferred
Required experience with Covered California, Qualified Health Plans (QHP), the Quality Rating System (QRS) and HEDIS quality metrics
Previous experience with diabetes care and program management preferred
Understanding of Social Determinants of Health, local interventions and health equity best practices required
