Overview:The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) at GM Financial provides project management support and tools for the organization, including project prioritization and investment analysis.

The Sr.
Financial Analyst EPMO is responsible for assisting with conducting investment analysis, supporting business owners with preparing business cases in support of making sound investment decisions, collaborating with project owners to track and report total project costs and benefits realized.
This individual will work to align and support the global project management community by functioning as a business partner to help adoption of financial concepts and processes in alignment with industry best practices, as well as ensuring adherence to Global Project Portfolio Management (GPPM) financial processes across the enterprise.Responsibilities:JOB DUTIESAssist with reviewing business cases and estimatesPrepare monthly executive reporting related to optimizing project portfolio and return on investmentHelp with enterprise adoption of new financial concepts for tracking total project spend including internal and external costAssist with conducting individual and comparative investment analysis on highly complex and large scale projectsServe as a trusted financial business partner to the PM community to help bridge the gap between operational and financial processes enabling project teams to achieve their financial objectivesAssist with the design, development, and delivery of GPPM financial process training for the enterprisePartner with project team to construct financial models based on project business cases, including NPV, IRR etcPerform other duties as assignedConform with all company policies and proceduresREPORTING RELATIONSHIPVP EPMO AdministrationQualifications:KnowledgeAdvanced knowledge of financial models and tools such as ROI, NPV, IRR, Benefit Cost Ratio etcKnowledge of project costingProficient in process improvement and development practicesWorking knowledge of Corporate Finance and AccountingSkillsInterpersonal skills necessary to work well with others, and collaborate with other leaders in the organizationProblem solving, multi-tasking and decision making abilities; detail orientedOrganization ability and experience navigating competing prioritiesLeadership skills and ability to learn new skills quicklySkilled at producing executive-level reports and/or training material using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and VisioAbility to plan, execute and improve work processes to ensure achievement of business objectivesProactively achieves goals and objectives and applies critical thinking skills in day-to-day problems and solutionsEducationBachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent related work experience requiredMaster’s Degree preferredExperience5-7 years experience in related discipline requiredHybrid work model#LI-CR1
