Overview:Analyst III ABS Data Analytics & Reporting, Finance is acritical technical role within the GMF North America Securitization and Conduit Reporting team.
This position will design process improvements, create SQL reports, write functional specifications, develop and test system plans, document processes and programs, advise users on program use, and resolve production problems.
This position involves a high level of coordination with other departments and third-party software vendors.Responsibilities:JOB DUTIESAnalyze Data to troubleshoot process problems and drive process improvementDefine functional requirements including requests for new reports or system enhancementsTranslate complex requirements into business requirements/functional specifications documents in coordination with the data warehouse teamsUnderstand data warehouse design and data modelingDevelop SQL,PL SQL, Access, Cognos queries to manipulate analyze and report on large data setsData extraction, creation, manipulation of multiple files and or databasesSQL/PL SQL code tuning and Query optimizationResponsible for the analysis, design, development and maintenance of ETL processes and applications using SQL and ETL toolsResponsible for evaluating the use of data, ensures the accuracy and accessibility of all important data following enterprise data standardsResponsible for supporting the design/construction using data modeling concepts and implementation phases of a system and/or upgrade projectResponsible for creating ad hoc queries or reports to extract data from disparate databases or data sources and analyzes data to produce dashboards, metrics, or insights and identify trends or anomaliesResponsible for interprets data, analyzes results using statistical techniques and provides ongoing reportsResponsible to acquires data from primary or secondary data sources and maintains databases/data systemsInvolve in SIT/UAT testing and identifying data quality issuesMonitor the production reporting environment on daily and monthly basisFind and correct operational errors, determine how to design system enhancements and test programs and systemsKeep up to date on current technology through training and outside materialsData Analytics to analyze data and make business decisions based on the dataPerform other duties as assignedConform with all company policies and proceduresREPORTING RELATIONSHIPABS Reporting Systems ManagerQualifications:KnowledgeAdvanced working knowledge of developing Oracle PL SQLAdvanced working knowledge of ETL/Data warehousing ConceptsAdvantage working knowledge on design, testing and implementation on Oracle/Cognos objectsAdvanced working knowledge of Oracle accounting softwareWorking knowledge on Data mining/analysis, Data governance and data architecture and reportingKnowledge on enterprise IT infrastructureSkillsAbility to establish priorities and meet tight deadlinesAdvanced oral and written communication skillsAbility to interact collaboratively with internal customersCapable of managing multiple and varied projects, including ability to coordinate and balance numerous tasks in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, meeting deadlinesDemonstrated quantitative skills and data Analytical skillsProven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and proceduresEducationBachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Business, related field or equivalent work experience requiredExperience5-7 years Oracle PL-SQL/SQL required3-5 years Informatica or ETL tool required2-3 years Cognos or any BI reporting tool preferred0-2 years UNIX shell scripting preferred#LI-CR1
