Description Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a contract to full-time role.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation.
During the monthly close, many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility.
You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies.
In addition, you will play an active role in compliance, collaborate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes.
A highly involved position, it works to produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

– Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation
– Assist in monthly financial close workbook preparation, including annual closing process
– Be responsible for analysis of income statements and balance sheets and communicate findings to management
– Report on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner
– Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll
– Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments
– Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
– Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed
– Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
– Complete month end close, journal entries, without supervision Requirements
– BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
– ERP system experience
– Recent and relevant accounting experience
– Spreadsheet and database capabilities
– Competent with spreadsheets and databases
– Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
– The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
– Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
– Account reconciliation experience preferred
– Expertise in GAAP Accounting
– Incoming payments experience
– General ledger experience
– Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
– Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
