The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation.

To succeed in this role, you will need to perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes.

– Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entriesnn nn nn nn
– Maintain fixed asset ledgers, depreciation, and reconciliationnn nn nn nn
– Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAPnn nn nn nn
– Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervisionnn nn nn nn
– Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiativesnn nn nn nn
– Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooksnn nn nn nn
– Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payrollnn nn nn nn
– Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon requestnn nn nn nn
– Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital leasenn nn nn nn
– Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable mannernn nn nn nn
– Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliationnn nn nn nn
– In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accountsnn nn nn nn
– Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by managementnn nn nn nn nn n n Job Requirements: n
– Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
– Proficient in ERP systems
– Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
– Microsoft Excel experience desired
– Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
– Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
– BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
– Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
– Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
– Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
– Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
