POSITION PURPOSEThis role works in partnership with the Managing Director of Commercial Banking to ensure the local market meets its goals for portfolio growth and management in categories of commercial banking to include loans, deposits and fee income.RESPONSIBILITIESPromote commercial banking business development and cross-sell other bank products and services to include retail banking and residential mortgageFacilitate opening and closing of commercial loan & deposit accountsWork closely with treasury officer to assist in selling and implementation of appropriate treasury servicesRespond to customer inquiries and concernsContact customer for disposition of accountsContact current and potential bank customers by mail, phone or in person to solicit new business to meet specific goals as outlinedCounsel customers regarding financial mattersFollow up to ascertain that transactions are completed to the customer’s satisfactionCreate and submit loan presentations, work with underwriting on deals as developed, provide expert advice to both business and retail borrowing customers, meet with clients regularly to gain knowledge of their respective business and industry, update financial performance of the borrower, and determine future financial needs of customersSecure proper documentation and manage loan process through closing of loanAnalyze customers’ creditworthiness and cash flow to determine adherence to Bank’s credit requirementsEnsure that customers provide financial documentation as required to properly prepare annual loan reviewsInitiate proactive collection calls to ensure timely payment of loansProvide weekly loan / deposit pipeline updates to Managing DirectorAssist with other projects as requestedKEY RELATIONSHIPSRoutine interaction with department heads across Lending, Operations, IT, Risk, Sales, and ComplianceMarket Executive, CAO, CCO & CEOBoard Members and ShareholdersCommunity leadersLenders, Customer Service Representatives, Tellers, and customersRegulatory examiners as appropriate and directed by Senior ManagementMANAGERGIAL ACCOUNTABILITYN/AAUTHORITY, IMPACT, RISKOfficial Check AuthorityWire Signing AuthorityWire Input AuthorityCheck Cashing AuthorityEnsures appropriate due diligence is exercised in new account opening, credit applications, wire transfers, maintenance of files, credit bureau reporting and other processesExercises good judgment that balances risk to shareholders and customer experience when making decisionsBSA, fraud, identity theftTIME ALLOCATIONService existing accounts……………………..25%Loan prospecting production & referrals…….75%RISK MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTSUnderstands and adheres to Workplace Policies, Code of Conduct, privacy and information security guidelines.Understands and adheres to Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, and Compliance with the USA PATRIOT Act policies and procedures applicable to position, completing any supporting requirements within defined timeframes.Acts within authorized limits and delegated authorities and role applicable policies and procedures.Follows processes and controls to protect shareholder interests.Mitigates risk to the bank and customers by following all applicable security procedures.WORKING CONDITIONSAbility to work under tight deadlinesAbility to be self-motivated and well organizedAbility to multi-taskGood communicationSome Travel requiredPrepare presentations, conduct training, and hold meetingsFamiliarity with FCB Credit Policy, pricing and other pertinent regulations in the Bank’s Policy ManualJOB SPECIFICATIONSPosition adheres to confidentiality policy, code of ethics and knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and best practices.
