Financial Systems Development Director

As a Financial Systems Development Director; you will:

Enable, promote, and supports the effective use of data, information, and technology to support and improve financial systems and their development. Responsible for divisional strategic planning and implementation of cost-effective systems, information, and technology services. Promotes collaborative work practices with other IS teams, internal corporate teams, vendors, and customers, to implement financial and enterprise information systems, information, and services designed to enhance the Company’s ability to carry out its mission.

  • Works in collaboration with other Information System departments, other internal corporate teams, and leaders to design and implement financial and enterprise systems supporting business objectives.
  • Directs the planning and delivery of a wide range of capital projects, enhancements, break/fix requests, and other programs/processes as defined by the business.
  • Controls the overall delivery of high-quality, timely and accurate solutions. Works with all management and system users to identify their information needs and support them in planning and decision making. Manages the development and implementation of financial and operational reports.
  • Creation and implementation of the development of strategies and policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and other standards aimed at ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.
  • Designs and oversees the implementation of processes and systems to ensure efficient workflow processes identified by end-users and IT teams as it pertains to financial and HRIS systems.
  • Reviews technology trends, experience, and approaches, and develops technical and application implementation strategies for use in financial and enterprise information and communication systems.
  • Provides expert support to other division departments in the development of financial and enterprise information systems, products and services being responsive to current and future needs.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with all relevant parties regarding ongoing projects, technology, and programs.
  • Recruit, select, train and retain staff members. Ensure the learning, training, and development of staff meet the current and emerging needs.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in information systems.
  • PMP certification
  • 10 – 12 years experience in managing and directing of teams within financial and Payroll/HR systems required. Experience in managing team project assignments and administrative functions in a large healthcare organization also preferred.
  • SAP, ORACLE, or Workday HR and finance applications experience preferred.
  • Large firm consulting experience with implementing HR and Finance systems preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills in order to communicate effectively and to obtain cooperation/collaboration from corporate users, all management associates, field personnel, and customers.
  • Experience in working and directing global third-party development teams with successful projects implementations and daily support models.
  • Ability and experience in driving transformational change within all areas of corporate systems, including but not limited to HR, Payroll, Finance, Compliance, and Legal.
  • Strong knowledge of trends and best practices within the corporate application landscapes.
  • Works within broad guidelines applying advanced technical knowledge to solve complex issues and designs solutions within the financial and HR application space.
  • Ability to work under stress, often with conflicting priorities, and to respond quickly in emergency situations.
  • Ability to design and create strategic plans as well as determine priorities for team members and projects to drive results and meet stated plans.
  • Works on and solves independently, complex issues where in-depth technical knowledge and analysis using logical thinking to define issues, collect relevant data, establish facts, and draw valid and comprehensive conclusions.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with project management processes and execution.
  • Must read, write and speak fluent English.
  • Approximate percent of time required to travel: Periodically
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
