Financial Systems Analyst

Summary:

Member of the Financial Systems team supporting the “end user experience” of the current TJX Oracle EPM application suite, which includes Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), FDMEE, and Data Relationship Manager (DRM).

Work to build strong relationships with Finance and Accounting teams to ensure that system users understand how best to efficiently interact with and report data from reporting applications.

Assist with maintaining a high level of data quality within the system by supporting the monthly data validation process and company-wide reporting initiatives.

Perform all required system maintenance and act as a liaison to the technical team to identify solutions to systemic or data issues.

This position will also play a key role on any future implementation projects or initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Main contact for ongoing support and maintenance activities, including monthly hierarchy updates and data mapping changes.

Participate in the Chart of Accounts Governance meetings to ensure metadata consistency between Oracle GL and EPM reporting applications.

Ensure proper documentation is built for appropriate system changes to support audit requirements.

Provide support to end users by responding to inquiries and providing instruction on proper use of reporting applications, such as generating ad-hoc reporting using SmartView Excel add-in.

Assist Accounting teams on completing timely data validations.

Research potential causes and coordinate activities for Finance and IT on proper resolution.

Develop training materials and conduct hands-on sessions with new users.

Apply technical knowledge to investigate data issues, identify system defects and propose improvements.

Collaborate with technical team members on developing defect resolution and new system functionality.

Complete required testing on such fixes and enhancements, then work with Finance management on migration timing and deployment.

Work with Finance and Systems team management to further refine the monthly process calendar to ensure that EPM applications support month end close timelines.

Identify process optimization opportunities that could assist with minimizing overall support requirements.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1-3 years of experience working in a financial planning or accounting environment, or IT experience supporting Finance processes and initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.

Experience working with EPM/consolidation/reporting applications (such as Hyperion – HFM/FCCS, OneStream or TM1) is preferred.

Experience working with Oracle EBS Financials is preferred.

Willingness to learn and self-educate on new system technologies is required.

Strong documentation and communication skills are required.

Ability to work independently and to multi-task in a dynamic environment is required.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills required.
