Financial Reporting, Vice President

SMBC is seeking a full time employee to work in the Bank Holding Company (“BHC”) Financial accounting control team within Controllers department at Jersey City location.

This position requires a canadidate to maintain and manage the capital ratios and credit risk weighted asset calculation for the BHC and group companies.

Responsibilities Maintain and manage quarterly capital ratios and credit risk weighted asset calculation for the BHC Maintain and manage daily and month end capital requirements and credit risk weighted asset calculation for a group company who is registered swap dealers in CFTC Plan and manage the tranisition period from manual to automation process for the capital ratios and credit risk weighted asset calculation using in-house calculation engine Manage and responsbile for monitoring the dry run testing on the in-house calculation engine and remediate all identified issues with the IT and group companies Monitor and review data quality issues on the data attributes used for the in-house calclation engine and remediate the issues Manage and maintain EUC over the capital calculation process Interpret the credit exposure and capital impact on new products Work heavily with the group companies and IT to address the issues from the capital calculation process Assist with special projects related to capital Qualifications 7-10 years of public and industry experience preferred Financial services industry experience is a plus Familiar with financial instruments esp derivatives and repo style transactions Knowledge in consolidation Bachelors Degree Proficient in Microsoft applications and other applications, such as excel and word, Alteryx or Tableau Good communication/planning skills and analytic and problem solving skills are must Detail oriented and well organized Ability to balance and prioriitze critical responsibilities to meet all necessary deadlines timely Apply for this job online Refer this job to a friend Share on your newsfeed SMBC Group is a top-tier global financial group.
