At Regions, the Financial Manager
– Business Support provides leadership and direction to business unit leaders to develop annual financial strategic plans, budgets, model initiatives, and leads annual Dodd-Frank Act stress testing (DFAST) and Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) processes..
Primary Responsibilities.
Serves as a key strategic partner to business unit leaders by providing key insights data and recommendations for key business decisions.
Provides financial leadership, expertise, and guidance in areas of forecasting, budgeting, reporting, analysis, and strategic planning.
Assists in developing strategic plans and mitigating financial and credit risks.
Provides proactive analysis and expertise to support operating plans and forecasts.
Incorporates all key financial information into financial model and reviews results of model for net impact and reasonableness.
Delivers leadership and innovative solutions across the business and identifies and implements opportunities for use of new systems and processes.
Works closely with the business and other financial areas on reporting (management and regulatory), costing, strategic analysis, and advising.
Utilizes peer bank and financial services industry data for benchmarking.
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay..

Requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or directly related field with ten (10) years of progressive experience in a finance role.
Or, a Master’s degree in a directly related field with eight (8) years of progressive experience in a finance role.
Preferences.
Experience in/supporting Capital Markets.
Familiarity with broker deal reporting.
NASD 7,6,24 License.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or Certified Public Accountant.
Skills and Competencies.
Communicate complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
Proven ability to influence without direct authority.
Proven ability to operate at both a strategic and detailed level.
Strong leadership, planning, communication, and project management skills.
