Financial Analyst

This is a Full-time position in Dallas, TX posted November 14, 2021.

HilltopSecurities is currently looking to hire a Financial Analyst.

This role will apply practical knowledge and performs activities in their area of focus, works independently with general supervision.

The Analyst is a strategic professional who uses statistical and mathematical techniques to evaluate data and may work closely with senior executives and/or key business leaders.

This role will report directly to the CFO of HilltopSecurities..

Essential Functions.

Performs research and stays abreast of developments within field and contributes to directional strategy for one or more areas of the organization.

Partners with business leaders to formulate and execute on business line strategies.

Apply numerical and quantitative statistical techniques using the data from various financial transactions.

Maintain and modify all analytical models in use.

Consult industry / organization experts, confer with key business leaders and analysts to understand strategies, unique dynamics and performance to enhance analysis.

Apply critical thinking to solve customer or operational requirements.

Improves financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends and recommending actions to management.

Active involvement in budgeting, forecasting and planning activities.

Perform tasks and applies knowledge of principles and methods necessary to meet operational requirements.

Perform ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Job Requirements.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Econometrics.

Two (2) – four (4) years related experience.

Candidate should have the SIE and Series 7 license, or willing to obtain these licenses.

Operating system (Windows or Mac) and software/application (MS Office, Internet Explorer, Outlook etc.) skills.

Ability to work with little supervision, independently or within a team.

Proven self-starter who can initiate tasks and follow up to completion to produce high quality results in a timely manner.

Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
