SUMMARY:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the financial planning and analysis function for the Company.
Incumbents in this position are responsible for developing models associated with the financial and strategic plan, forecasts, monthly variance packages, and ad hoc requests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with Reserves, Planning team and Accounting team to publish of monthly financial results and forecasts, including internal and external reporting
Preparation, analysis and submission of annual budgets and monthly forecasts
Explaining monthly income statement variances for management review
Capital expenditure budgeting evaluation
Evaluate major capital expenditure projects
Develop communication and materials for Board of Directors and shareholders
Work with management, Reserves and Planning team, and Accounting team to develop and update company annual and five year projections
Evaluate and recommend appropriate methods and techniques for financial evaluation of projects and be eager to accept stretch assignments and ad hoc projects, as needed
Other ad hoc projects as directed by CFO and management
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
Bachelor’s in Accounting, Economics, and/or Finance preferred
5+ years of experience in oil and gas financial analysis and reporting or investment banking
SKILLS:
Ability to think critically, highly driven and self-motivated with strong analytical and organizational skills
Strong knowledge of oil and gas financial modeling
Skills in handling financial presentations and communicating with management and Board of Directors
Attention to detail, time management, problem-solving skills, and action oriented
Strong computer skills including experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
JOB CONDITIONS:
Work is typically performed indoors in an office environment.
Incumbents must be able to perform work that requires typing, sitting, standing, and walking.
Travel: Up to 10% (Primarily between Houston, Midland, and Denver).

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Anticipated Salary Range: $80,000
– $100,000 plus Bonus
Benefit Eligible: Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Vacation, Sick and Holiday pay along with other benefits plans offered to similarly situated employees.
