Position Overview The Analyst will be able to utilize strong analytical and interpretive skills.
Ability to partner with IT and communicate between IT and Accounting also drive accounting process improvements by utilizing technology tools in making decisions that will drive financial position.
Tackle various issues in the fleet department by offering and implementing actionable solutions including but not limited to: PDF forms, VB.Net applications, Access Databases, SQL databases etc.
Primary Responsibilities Create and maintain multiple Access databases and Tableau reporting that will assist the department in streamlining accounting processes.
Tackle various issues in the fleet department by offering and implementing actionable solutions including but not limited to: Tableau, PDF forms, VB.Net applications, Access Databases, SQL databases etc.
Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and budget variance analysis.
Prepare financial reports, charts, tables and other exhibits as requested.
Analyze data to ensure proper accounting procedures have been followed.
Investigate and report to the Manager, any inconsistencies or improprieties.
Research and resolve Business Unit(s) inquiries for assigned functional areas.
Responsible for performing special projects to improve process efficiency and performance.
Projects as assigned by Management Experience and Qualifications Bachelor Degree Accounting or MIS degree required 1-3 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting or auditing preferred.
1-3 years of Tableau experience preferred.
Recent graduates with relevant internship experience will be considered.
Strong MS Access/SQL and Excel skills Strong knowledge of variance analysis, data analysis, and preparing financial reports.
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Knowledge of Statutory accounting principles.
Well-developed analytical and interpretive skills Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment.
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty.
Detail-oriented and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
