Job Title: Finance Manager
Reports To: Treasurer, Board of Directors

Summary: It shall be the responsibility of the Finance Manager to ensure that all notices are sent for dues, deposits are made, and the proper accounting methods are utilized within the Corporation. The Finance Manager works closely with the General Manager to guarantee the budget is adhered and shall collaborate with the Treasurer of the Corporation’s Board of Director’s. The Finance Manager is independent of the General Manager and reports directly to the Board of Director’s and shall provide a full financial report for each board meeting.

5. Knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel and ability to learn new software in the future.
Job Dimensions:
1. Financial: Responsible for all the account payables and receivables. Making sure accounting practices and protocol are done correctly for the yearly audit.
2. Collaborate with the Board of Directors, Members, Office staff, and Security and Maintenance for services or works that are procured at the most economical cost to meet the needs of the acquirer in terms of quality, quantity, time, and location.
3. Manage all purchase orders to ensure each department stays within budget.
4. Responsible for all aspects of accounting.
Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
1. Plan, direct, and coordinate all aspects of accounting for RBMC. You shall report directly to the Treasurer of the Board of Director’s, however, you will work closely with the General Manager to verify and confirm that the departments are staying within budget.
2. Duties and responsibilities include daily weekly, monthly, and annual reports for the accounting department:
a. Daily responsibilities to include processing accounts payable, scanning checks to the bank, making cash deposits, and assisting at the front desk, as needed.
b. Monthly duties and responsibilities include reconciling bank accounts, submitting the West Virginia Sales Tax, generate adjusting journal entries, and as needed to generate financial reports.
c. Annual duties and responsibilities include generating 1099’s, entering audit entries, assist in generating the next year’s budget, generating year-end financials, and any other reports needed for the Board of Director’s and for the tax accountant and/or auditor.
3. Executing the Board of Directors Business Plan(s).
4. Financial results and budget management, cost controls, and quality and service to members.
5. Keeping the yearly approved budget up to date monthly.
6. Supply the monthly update report to the General Manager and Board of Director’s.
7. Supply the Board of Director’s meetings with a complete and up to date financial reports for the monthly meeting on the 2nd Sunday of the month and answering any questions at the monthly meeting.
8. Responsible for all aspects of collection procedures from late payments, collections, and liens.
9. Responsible for invoicing all work orders that are done for River Bend Membership Corporation members.
10. Work with and supply reports as needed to the Finance Committee and Treasurer during the budget preparation.
11. Perform other duties as assigned and support all aspects of the running of River Bend Membership Corporation and of the Board of Director’s.
12. Establish professional relationships with our accounting firm, audit firm, insurance firms, vendors, etc.
13. Maximize profitability by implementing cost and waste reduction initiatives to work within the over-all budget to save on equipment, inventory and supplies, on-time delivery. Lean Six Sigma principals.
14. Confidentiality is required for the position of Finance Manager.
15. During the holidays you may be asked to work out front to service the members. You will need to keep up to date on those systems for collecting dues and issuing passes.
Work Schedule: Flex Schedule of 45+ hours per week. Weekends required. Board of Director’s meetings are required during open season 2nd Sunday of the month, Finance Committee meetings are required, and the Annual Budget meeting is required.
Raises and Incentives: Starting rate is commensurate with knowledge, experience, and qualifications. There will be a 30-day, 60-day, and 90-day review. After 90-days up to a raise may be given based on performance, evaluations, and feedback. There will also be a six-month and an annual review given with a potential for merit increase.
Compensation will be commensurate with knowledge, experience, and qualifications.
