Overview: Emerald is seeking a Finance Manager to support our Financial Planning & Analysis team.
As a key member of the FP team, the Finance Manager will play a key role in consolidating the many Emerald businesses and meeting internal and external reporting requirements.
This role will partner with the Finance Director, SVP Finance, Controller, and CFO to effectively report on Emerald performance.
The Finance Manager will be tasked with developing systems and processes that simplify reporting to multiple parties and also provide clear, concise summaries of the key business drivers to senior management.
They will provide accurate and timely analysis of financial results and lead the process to best reflect the future expectations both to corporate and the brand leadership teams.
The Finance Manager will be involved in all aspects of the Emerald financial planning and analysis function with focus on operational and analytical reporting, budget and rolling forecast cycles, financial consolidation, and various planning and analytical initiatives.
They will also play an integral role in leading projects to design and enhance reporting technology.To best support a large portfolio of brands at Emerald, our team needs someone proactive who can work independently to complete their piece of the overall process, while staying plugged into overall project objectives and timelines.

Responsibilities: Manage month end close process/accruals working closing with various corporate departmentsLiaise with the Accounting organization to ensure accurate financial results are recordedConsolidate actual performance results and prepare variance analysis to the corporate and executive teamsHighlight best practices in financial processes and practicesPartner with all members of Finance team to consolidate results in a timely fashionProvide guidance across the finance team to accurately budget and forecast the latest expectations for each business lineThoroughly analyze budget and forecast submissions and provide multiple variance analyses to the show teams and the corporate consolidation teamsPartner with the finance team members to improve financial models on a consistent basisPrepare budget presentations to communicate performance to executive teams and convey changes in business driversDevelop analyses for Board presentations and reportingDevelop standard Portfolio reporting packages to align variance analysis for the teamsSupport M transactions and integrationsSpecial projects as assigned Qualifications: BS/BA in Finance/Accounting; MBA is a plus5-10 years of experience in corporate finance with demonstrated financial modeling, reporting, and analytical experience in a corporate environment, with at least 2-3 years in planning and analysis roleExposure to data mining and working with large and complex data setsM experience a plusExpert level in Excel requiredHyperion Planning experience a major plusKnowledge of ERP systems (SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle, Epicor, JDE)To support our commitment to provide a healthy and safe work environmentwe requireall of our team members to have received the COVID-19 vaccine.
