POSITION SUMMARY: The Finance Costing Analyst’s primary role is to plan, ensure our standard costing is accurate and to develop and prepare meaningful, timely and accurate analysis and metrics for use in pricing strategies, and management’s evaluation of results, as well as various strategic and business objectives and alternatives; to participate in and compile the quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process; to work collaboratively with other functional areas, and to design, build and continually improve operational analysis and capabilities, processes and robust planning and analysis tools.

Primary Responsibilities : Analyze item costs and ensure accurate margins are included in standard costs and forecasts Work cross-functionally to incorporate requirements for forecasts as well as for business outlook and develop models/analytics to help improve gross margins Ensure inventory is valued in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles Support functional areas including Sales and Marketing, Procurement, Sourcing, and Product Development in developing new analysis tools based on current strategies and objectives Support decision-making processes through effective scenario, what-if, and sensitivity analysis Provide timely and accurate analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual results and trends Enhance and automate the management reporting package, provide meaningful insights into the performance and trends Prepare monthly and quarterly management presentations to be distributed to senior leadership, private-equity investors, creditors, and the Board of Directors Lead efforts implement key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant for the business objectives into the reporting package Build and enhance modeling and analysis tools Build and continuously improve the Company’s capabilities in analyzing its revenue and cost drivers, budgets and forecasting, and cash flow and working capital requirements Be a business partner to the accounting team providing analytical support throughout the month-end closing process Support the annual business planning and budgeting process for all domestic and international entities Continuous focus to drive processes improvements to simplify, automate and expedite the collection of key data inputs Support the ERP system as it relates to Business Intelligence (BI) and financial reporting capabilities and requirements Desired Skills and Experience: The successful candidate takes ownership and creates solutions and enjoys working “hands-on” in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment Must have established a proven track record of success in prior accounting/finance roles with a strong operational focus A well organized and self-directed individual with exceptionally strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of how to leverage computer systems and related tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the function An excellent communicator, and the ability to interact and support all levels of the organization Expert in building financial models in MS Excel 3-4 years of experience Education and Certifications: A Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study Implus is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
