This is a Full-time position in Norwalk, CT posted January 13, 2022.

cieTrade is B2B SaaS platform that serves the needs of commodity traders, recycling companies
and wholesale distributors in the forest products industry worldwide. Our software helps clients
maximize business performance with specialized workflows, business process and analytic tools
that can boost productivity, reduce costs and provide key insights for better decision making.

What you’ll be doing.

As an Accounting Specialist at cieTrade you’ll work directly with our clients worldwide to provide
critical support to help them achieve maximum value from our platform. This role is like an inhouse
consultant and involves a wide variety of daily activities that includes on-boarding, training,
month-end closing practices, reconciliation, project management and more. You will also play a
critical role working with our engineering team to provide vital input, feedback and support for
continued product development, strategic planning and decision making. In summary you will:

  • Respond to daily inquiries related to financial reporting and accounting functions.
  • Assist prospective and new clients with insight on our accounting integration model, configuration and best practices to meet reporting requirements.
  • Conduct live training sessions, and create self-help resources.
  • Help troubleshoot reporting and reconciliation issues on behalf of clients.
  • Manage support cases and specialty client projects.
  • Effectively cross partner with support teams to manage and streamline implementations.
  • Provide engineering team with effective support and guidance on accounting functions.
  • Meet with stakeholders to scope future projects and make recommendations.

What we’re looking for.

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance or some related area where you arecomfortable with accounting principles and functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
  • Some first hand experience working with ERP platforms or accounting software.
  • Comfortable working with Excel to analyze and manipulating data with Excel required.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving is your strength.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and phone skills.
  • Experience with SQL queries or scripts is a plus.
