Evolution Credit Partners Management, LLC (“the Firm”) is an alternative credit manager with a value-driven approach to credit investing with approximately $2 billion in assets under management.
The Firm’s platform provides an array of strategies to meet its investors’ objectives across direct lending, alternative credit, and other bespoke strategies through pooled funds and separate accounts for a broad range of institutional investors.
The Firm is seeking a Finance Associate to join its growing finance team.
Main responsibilities include financial reporting, trade execution, treasury (including compliance with multiple credit facilities), tax and special projects and close interaction with the Firm’s Investment and Investor Relations teams.
The ideal candidate will have an accounting and finance background with credit experience, excellent communication skills, and will be able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities include:
Work closely with fund administrators and independent auditors to prepare and review quarterly and annual audited financial statements
Prepare and review partnership allocations, capital calls and distributions, management fee calculations and other fund-related deliverables
Execute trades through a third-party trading platform (ClearPar) and coordinate with various investment banks, agent banks and sponsors during the investment trade and settlement process
Assist with compliance and reporting associated with subscription lines and senior credit facilities
Serve as a key contributor to the Investor Relations team by providing accurate and insightful reporting and analysis
Respond to Limited Partners’ questions, requests, and prepare additional reporting as needed
Ensure compliance with accounting, reporting and finance policies and procedures
Assist in the creation, preparation, and dissemination of key reports to Firm management on income, expenses, and liquidity at the fund and management company level
Aid in enhancing and enacting new policies, procedures, and internal controls
Propose new initiatives with a focus on continuous improvement
Undertake other ad hoc analysis as needed
Participate in the Firm’s fundraising and other strategic efforts
Requirements / qualifications:
BA/BS required; CPA license is a plus
Public / private accounting experience (2-5 years of relevant experience, credit experience is ideal)
Fund partnership accounting and reporting required (credit, fund-of-funds or series limited partnership experience preferred)
Experience with Allvue Systems and QuickBooks is a plus
Dedicated team player who is detail oriented and has strong analytical problem-solving skills
