JOB SUMMARY:The primary function of this position is to provide administrative and accounting support to the Sr. Vice President of Finance and manage the associated workflow within the Finance department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate and communicate daily calendar and administrative workflow for the Senior Vice President in order to handle priorities and provide necessary direction to all direct reports. Monitors workflow according to specific objectives, monitors departmental leave calendar for direct reports, receives and routes confidential correspondence and mail. Provide administrative support and back-up staffing needs within the Finance department as assigned by the Senior Vice President and as needed to include, taking notes in meetings, managing mailings, assemble presentations/reports, pull, manage and file standard requested reports, assist with coverage of various accounting staff duties, etc. Serve as liaison and work directly with vendor(s) and their staff to coordinate phone communication, mail management, written communication such as reports, memos, facsimiles, letters; provide assistance with marketing efforts; as well as scheduling/setting up meetings, training and conference calls. Assist with special projects, which may include financial research and analyses, and preparation of reconcilements, ad-hoc management reports, etc. Resolve finance issues timely in the daily processing of bank, game, and report transactions. Create, maintain and update databases, records and the file systems for the Senior Vice President’s office. Ensure timely distributions of internal and external financial, sales, and pipeline reports for finance. Responsible for coordinating and special projects as delegated which may include working with different departments within the Georgia Lottery, and will include ongoing work the Senior Vice President’s committees, organizational work, chart/graph work, preparation of PowerPoint presentations, and other projects connected to the President/CEO’s Office. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. Minimum of three to five years corporate experience supporting a finance or accounting department preferred.Experience with automated accounting software and general ledger accounting experience. Strong analytical and communication skills (both verbal and written) and effective time management skills with the ability to multi-task.Basic knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
