Responsibilities
Our finance management consultants help federal clients optimize the operations of their finance organization, including budget execution, accounting reconciliations (e.g., Fund Balance with Treasury, Payroll), intra-governmental payments and collections, government-wide treasury account symbol reporting, annual financial reporting and helping to meet the ever-changing requirements of federal financial reporting. This high performing team helps a federal CFO organization identify, design and implement improved processes that transform their finance function and provide lasting change by empowering the federal workforce to sustain improved operations. The team utilizes the latest technologies with automation, robotics, business intelligence and data warehouses to design and construct improved processes.
The role would manage a workstream of 2-5 team members deliverables, schedule and engage with clients on behalf of the project team. The candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in federal accounting, reporting and financial systems, and would have experience redesigning business processes utilizing analytics, data warehouse and business intelligence solutions within a Federal CFO organization. In addition, the candidate will be managing stakeholders, soliciting requirements and will be responsible for overseeing change management and integration of automated processes within the Federal workforce
Qualifications
Required:
Due to our contractual requirements, to be eligible for this role, you must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated at time of hire.
Significant experience, minimum of 5 years Federal Financial Accounting experience and demonstrates ability to provide guidance and direction at the task level
Supervisory experience managing team
Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Accounting, Accounts Receivables, Federal USSGL, Budget Execution, and a working knowledge of GTAS, IPAC and CARS
In depth understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, the ability to record transactions accurately and an understanding of how related system documents are impacted
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance is contractually required
Capabilities to support and manage teams to provide analytics, automation and business intelligence services (i.e., SQL, PowerBI, PowerApps including DAX)
Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline
Preferred:
CPA, CGFM or PMP or related credential
Understanding of the full lifecycle of federal budget execution, accounting, and financial procedures from the establishment of authority to financial reporting and internal controls
Experience with business process improvement and/or change management
Experience with Federal Financial Management systems, specifically, CGI Momentum and business intelligence software (i.e., PowerBI, SQL)
Federal project management experience
Active Public Trust Moderate Background Investigation (MBI)
