Responsibilities The team member will support the clients’ financial operations and audit readiness work efforts.
Skill set requirements include background on: federal financial reporting, Working Capital Fund (WCF), federal business processes, internal controls and OMB A-123, risk management, governance and financial management systems in support of our clients audit sustainment efforts.
Qualifications Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in one of more of the following capabilities: financial management; enterprise risk management or operational risk management; governance; federal consulting experience.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Minimum 2 years of experience with one or more of the following policies:
• OMB A-123, Management’s Responsibility for Internal Control
• Federal Managers Financial Integrity Act of 1982
• Federal Financial Management Improvement Act of 1996
• Federal Accounting Proficiency in MS Office applications (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project).
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related.
Eligible to receive a Secret Security Clearance Prefered: Eligible to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Government Financial Manager (GCFM), or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) preferred.
The ability to assist with the design and conduct of comprehensive analyses, studies, surveys, reviews, and/or research projects for the purpose of defining problems, identifying potential courses of action and proposing solutions for Full Financial Statement Audit.
Competence and capability to identify and remediate control deficiencies and material weaknesses.
Able to remedy rooted in the fundamentals of financial accountability and auditability, regulations and public law.
Accounting and audit expertise to compute, organize, and analyze data on a recurring basis.
Assimilate analytical data to aid management in the decision making and corrective action process.
