The School of Social Work has an outstanding opportunity for an Evaluation Manager.
Position Purpose
Coordinate evaluation, analysis, and dissemination of findings on Forefront programming.
Manage work of multiple evaluators.
Knowledge generated via evaluations on Forefront’s programs will be used for publications, forwarding the field’s understanding of suicide prevention.
Duties & Responsibilities
o Manage external partners contracted for evaluation.
o Lead the implementation of outcomes strategies, including development of processes, instruments (i.e., surveys, focus group protocols, etc.), and systems for measuring the reach and impact of our program initiatives.
o Work with leadership and stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for outcomes assessment for mission initiatives across the organization.
o Work with leadership to develop and manage a data strategy including policies and governance
o Establish mechanisms for rapid feedback and learning from findings
o Establish a framework and identify tools to support the organization’s publication and reporting needs.
o Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis
o Collect, clean, analyze and interpret data-based findings towards refinement of program efforts and determination of evidence-base for program interventions.
o Manage external partners contracted for evaluation.

Requirements
o Master’s degree or equivalent in related field such as public health, economics, demography, psychology, measurement & evaluation, sociology or business administration, PhD is highly valued
o 5+ years of experience in a monitoring or evaluation focused role coupled with solid experience managing a team
o Expertise in evaluation design, best practices and evaluation methodologies
o Strong methodological and analytical skills, with a proven track record of supporting program evaluations and/or primary research studies from project inception through post-analysis, as well as a willingness to learn.
o Strong team management experience and demonstrated ability to juggle many projects while meeting deadlines
o Expertise in both quantitative (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Stata, etc.) and qualitative (e.g., NVivo, ATLAS, etc.) analysis methodsand software
o Excellent analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable recommendations
o Familiarity with implementing and/or effectively utilizing a monitoring and evaluation database system within an organization
o Ability to summarize and communicate complex information to a variety of stakeholders in a manner that is clear and concise
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
