Department: Client Strategies Group Client Consultation Group The Client Strategies Group is responsible for leading the firm in ensuring our clients are on track to meet their financial goals.
As part of the client team, the Client Consultation Group provides tailored financial strategies to high net worth clients by partnering with our branch teams to review and analyze complex client needs and goals.DescriptionWealth Strategist II leverages the extensive resources of our home office to support our financial advisors in serving their high net worth clients with complex needs.
This position plays a critical role in serving as the primary point of contact between the two groups.
You will be called upon as a financial planning subject matter expert, with tax expertise, on the firm’s full suite of financial planning tools and how they’re leveraged to help clients define their financial goals and identify solutions to keep them on-track.
Additionally, you will apply knowledge of financial planning disciplines to unique client circumstances and work directly with branch teams and their clients.You’ll be joining a team of 28 high-energy associates, with tenure ranging from years to decades, dedicated to personal development, inclusion and diversity, and partnering with financial advisors as part of the client team.
Responsibility Summary:Develop solutions-based strategies for high-net worth clients with complex needs using a team approach which require specific technical knowledge in a particular subject matter area.Communicate with financial advisors and clients to gain understanding of client’s needs, aide in documenting client goals, articulate investment strategy and recommendations, identify expertise needed to help the client achieve their goal, and help build relationships with clients and financial advisorsServe as a subject matter expert for a specific topic that supports the creation of solutions-based recommendations for high-net worth clients with complex needs.Contribute to firm wide goals, projects and initiatives in order to better serve branch teams and high-net worth clients.Drive department/team wide goals, projects and initiatives in order to better serve branch teams and high-net worth clients.Serve as subject matter expert for complex cases requiring deep technical knowledge and individual income tax experience.
Education/Certification:Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or Law requiredAdvanced degree preferredSeries 7 and 66 required within 6 months of hireInsurance license required 6 months of hireCFP® required (or started within 6 months per the department policy)CPA or income tax expertise strongly preferred Years of Relevant Experience:7+ years of experience in the financial services industry preferredFunctional Skills:Personal initiative and ability to collaborate Strong presentation and communication skillsAbility to lead small groups and present findings in a clear and concise manner Ability to lead a client meetingExceptional organizational skills Understanding of Financial Advisor/BOA/branch processes including the implementation of a solutions-based approach.Understanding and alignment with the firm values, beliefs, policies, procedures as well as business objectivesProficiency using financial planning software or tools and interpreting resultsAbility to interpret and leverage firm advice and guidance to support the branch in creating a tailored solution for each client.
