We continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.Team Leader, Analytic OperationsLead a team of data analysts in supporting the operational needs of Firm Analytics that include data modeling, identifying and creating new data, managing analytical data models that integrate with external tools and systems, tool support, data management, and data issue resolution.Key Responsibilities: Partner with leaders across the department and firm to deliver high value analytics towards a shared strategic objective, working with various stakeholders and business leaders at all levels of the firm to understand business strategies, identify business problems, and recommend the appropriate data approach and automate the solution to drive informed decision-making.
Manage and support a team of data analysts to provide best in class data solutions within their area of responsibility that aligns to the firm’s and department’s vision, mission and guiding principles, ensuring appropriate resources are in place to execute the work.
Attract, hire, and develop diverse talent to enable future success of the function.
Provide leadership, development, and mentoring to associates through specific examples and timely feedback and equipping team members with knowledge and skills to be successful in their roles.
Create and maintain the culture within the department and the firm to facilitate a place of belonging for our associates and contribute to making Edward Jones a great place to work.
Provide support, guidance and oversight of team activities, including identifying, interpreting and integrating data and analytic insights and opportunities to support business decisions regarding firm initiatives through data enablement activities.
Develop and maintain a sound understanding of firm results and key business drivers and apply understanding to analytic approach to influence and create key strategies and business performance.
Autonomously make day to day decisions on team priorities and people/process management; Scope resource requirements for complex projects (people, systems, and tools).
Establish and maintain effective partnership, network and communications across teams, departments, internal stakeholders and business leaders.
Bachelor’s Degree required with an emphasis in Analytics, Business or STEM field preferred.Advanced degree or Certification in Analytics, Business or STEM field preferred.7+ years of relevant experience with progressive responsibility in Analytics, Business or STEM field preferredEffective collaboration, partnership and commitment to the team first is a must.
Proven ability to working through and partner with others with empathy to accomplish share objectives and programs that support business initiatives and drive desired outcome.
Compassionate about coaching, inspiring, developing others leveraging interpersonal skills.
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to identify business needs, interpret business strategies and create analytic solutions within ambiguous situationsProven ability to make sound decisions on complex and multifaceted problems that supports the vision of the department and firm in achieving positive long-term outcome Strong problem-solving skills that pushes innovation and accelerate time to marketProficient communication, presentation/storytelling, influence and organizational skills.
Proficient written and verbal communication skills with ability to present complex data and analytics concept in a concise format appropriate for non-technical and executive audience.
Lead and facilitate discussions across various levels of stakeholders/support partners.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects along with recurring responsibilities.
Project management skills required with ability to identify critical tasks, sequencing of work, dependencies and decisions needed to achieve an end deliverable.Experience leading an on-call support organization is a plus.Preferred experience using descriptive statistics/analytics to solve real-world business problems.
