CPA Controller with Healthcare Experience Needed-Consulting

Our healthcare client in Aliso Viejo is currently seeking an Interim CPA Controller to join their team on a consulting basis.

The ideal consultant will have experience in the healthcare or biotech industry with prior public accounting experience.

As a Controller, you will serve as a financial expert for our client.

This involves handling a variety of general to complex accounting functions, providing analytical support, and supervising staff.

Controller responsibilities: Managing accounting and financial reporting Hands on heavy reconciliations of multiple accounts Establishing and coordinating all accounting procedures for the business unit Investigating significant trends/variances in financial data Providing daily and/or weekly analysis, and reporting on operational performance as it relates to the business activities including monitoring margins, variances, and giving feedback Assisting in the formulation of the budget and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance CPA strongly desired Experience handling accounting in a healthcare or biotech environment with heavy volume of reconciliations 3 years experience as a hands on Controller Job Requirements: You are one click away from your next big career move.

Controller requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5 years of experience in accounting
• CPA and/or MBA
• Public accounting experience, a strong plus
• Previous supervisory experience with proven leadership skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Current experience with large ERP systems (Great Plains, Oracle, Sage etc.)
