Cost Accountant

JOB SUMMARY

• Support Controller and Assistant Controller with financial reports and projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Calculate standard costs based on engineering and budget information
• Assist in internal control documentation
• Review and analyze inventory
• Manage fixed assets
• Perform account reconciliations
• Assist in month end closing
• Collect data and prepare metrics
• Assist Controller and Ast Controller with various projects

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors or higher degree in accounting or finance preferred
• Three to five years of relevant experience
• Professional certification preferred but not required
• SAP experience preferred but not required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Proficiency with accounting data systems and concepts
• Problem solving and analytical skills
• Verbal and written communication
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Detail oriented; information organizational skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
