Cost Accountant

Our client in the Norco area is currently seeking an Interim Cost Accountant to join their organization. The role will be contract to possible hire and will be relocating to the Riverside area in about 6 months. Candidates must be able to drive to both locations as the role will be on-site. As a Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for all cost accounting activities. This involves preparing and analyzing financial information as well as performing collection duties. You will be accountable for ensuring that all financial deadlines are met.Job Duties May Include:Perform all duties accurately and timely.Support CFO/Controller in the preparation and reporting of financial statements.Prepare, analyze and report CWIP, productivity, and other reports daily, weekly, monthly, as needed.Prepare account reconciliations and trend analyses.Manage accuracy and timeliness of month-end process.Gather, analyze, reconcile, and report information from the ERP and other systems’ subledgers including general ledger, job cost, payroll, bank reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchase order, etc.Gather, analyze, include in reconciliations, if applicable, supporting source information from departments, vendors, customers, other external sources, etc.Maintain and balance an automated consolidation system by inputting data; verifying data; reporting results.Prepare general ledger journal entries and maintain accurate and timely electronic records thereof.Manage ADP payroll import template, import, reconcile, record adjustments, and download reports and maintain electronic records. Collaborate with HR and AP Depts., as needed.Collaborate with A/P for the recording of ACH payments.Prepare bank reconciliation.Update budget and forecast data.Update cash flow data daily.Manage and ensure completion of compliance and regulatory requirements including sales and use tax returns, 1099, environmental, etc.Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of cost accounting experience in either manufacturing or construction environmentAdvanced Excel knowledgeJob Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of cost accounting experience in either manufacturing or construction environment Advanced Excel knowledge
