Controller for a high-growth, emerging, commercial, and residential Real Estate development business, that is part of the consortium.

Greensboro-Winston-Salem-High Point Area
Responsibilities
Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Present Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Allocate and prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis reports for management
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Perform monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Requirements
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally in real estate, construction, property management
Experience with construction ERP systems
Comprehensive knowledge of Construction Accounting
Expertise in Construction Loans
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Ability and willingness to meet business-critical deadlines
Outstanding analytical, quantitative, and social skills
BA/BS in Accounting preferred
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
