Controller

Our client is an outstanding multi-store retail enterprise. This position is a part of our leadership team and is paramount to our success. The Controller/HR Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of accounting, payroll, and human resource management for a medium-sized retail establishment along with working with the other members of the leadership team to drive change and hit goals throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with government agencies
• Act as the point of contact for external auditors
• Maintain internal books and finances
• Analyze financial transactions

Qualifications

• Bachelor ‘s degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
• A minimum of 3 years of public accounting experience.
• GAAP knowledge
• 2+ years of retail experience or background is a plus.
• Must possess excellent communication skills both written and oral.
• Experience in coordinating audit activities.
• Experience with managing financial reporting, accounts payable, invoicing and receivables, general ledger, and payroll.
• Highly Proficient knowledge of Accounting Software and the Microsoft Office Suite with an Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Excel including macros a plus.
