Description
Reybold is aggressively seeking a Construction Accounting Manager.
In this role you will be responsible for supervising a small team of construction cost accountants supporting the Construction Controller.
This position also provides support to other team members as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilizes computerized accounting software programs (Yardi, Excel, Word) to perform duties and responsibilities.
- Supervise the activities of cost accountants who are primarily responsible for the accounts receivable and payable functions.
- Prepare accounting records, including general ledger entries, to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department.
- Perform reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts including month end accrual analysis.
- Document and ensure proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
- Assists in monitoring progress of jobs per construction controller to assure adherence to budget.
- Monitor and renew various business licenses and related requirements for construction entities.
- Work with project managers regarding job creation, progress and closure.
- Responsible for review and reconciliation of job costing.
- Create and enter new jobs, related customers, and project budget in accounting software.
- Supervise and review work of construction accountants, consisting primarily of internal and external billing, accounts payable and cash receipts postings and collections efforts.
Position Requirements
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Minimum three years supervisory experience
- Strong job cost accounting skills required
- Minimum two years construction industry experience required
- Experience with multiple inter-related entities and cost centers
Competencies

- Proficiency in general ledger accounting including inter-company transactions
- Working knowledge of accounting software
- Strong organizational skills, follow-through, and attention to detail

- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize workload efficiently
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
