JOB SUMMARY The Vice President and Corporate Controller position has management authority over an entire organizational unit within CSI and is responsible for ensuring that goals and objectives are aligned with the organizations overall strategy and vision.
This position is responsible for every aspect of their unit including finance, planning, resources and operations.
Seeks and brings in new opportunities for revenue, profit and or best practices, new technology.
Contributes significantly to 12-18 months operational/functional plans.
The VP – Corporate Controller position is responsible for planning, directing, and controlling all accounting functions including the posting of accurate financial transactions under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, overseeing the production of accurate and thorough financial statements and accompanying notes for external reporting, ensuring a timely accounting close process each month, providing support to the preparation of management reporting and variance analysis, coordinating internal and external audits, assisting with the preparation of reporting for the CSI’s Board of Directors, overseeing CSI’s tax function, participating in the development and execution of strategic plans for the department in support of broader corporate strategic objectives, and designing and maintaining internal financial controls in accordance with best practices.

Budget ResponsibilitiesStrategizes on budget, projects, revenue.Reviews, approves, and submits departmental budgets to Top Management.
Additional Functional ResponsibilitiesAssist in the company’s strategic decision-making process by providing guidance and advice regarding financial implications to the CFO and other senior management.Establish, monitor, and enforce financial-related policies and procedures.Review monthly financials to ensure accuracy and timely completion.Provide support to other leaders within the team and across the company by addressing any financial-related concerns or questions that arise.Collaborate with other members and leaders of the Financial Operations team to create and file accurate and timely reports as required by public company requirements.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements by studying existing and new legislation, regulations, and accounting guidance.Maintain strict confidence with respect to non-public, sensitive, and personnel information.Develop and foster a strong working relationship with internal and external audit teams.
PRIMARY RESULTS ACCOUNTABLE FOR ACHIEVING Provide effective and positive leadership to the Financial Operations team.Create an atmosphere of effective partnership in providing support to other leaders and teams throughout the company.Produce accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with all appropriate accounting principles and guidance and applicable reporting guidelines.Ensure strong and effective internal controls over financial systems, procedures, and reporting.In coordination with CFO and other Financial Operations leaders, establish and execute on departmental objectives and initiatives in support of broader organization objectives.Remain agile and flexible in order to provide timely responses to ad-hoc management support, analysis, and reporting requests.
