Commonwealth Care Alliance: Clinical Applications Analyst

The Clinical Application Analyst is involved in multiple phases of clinical application & function implementation:Participate in clinical application / functionality exploration session, able to define and document system requirementsPlans and coordinates tasks associated with system/application efforts involving other teams, especially IT teamBeing active participants in design of workflow, explore / create mock-up to facilitate workflow discussionPerform necessary unit, functional & system testingsCreate change management documentation; perform configuration or migration to production; ensure synchronization among various environmentsMaintain procedure and information flowcharts, in order to promote effective use of applications with oversight from Sr.

analyst or Clinical Application Manager.The Clinical Application Analyst will also serve as the first level of clinical system support resource, who will:Perform root cause analysis on recurring issues and communicate results with ManagementMaintain problem tracking list and follow through resolutionShow a thorough and creative approach to problem diagnosis and troubleshootingProvide regular training and feedback to other system support teams for incident management and escalation standardCreate necessary standard operation procedures for future reference and cross-team training Perform other assigned tasks as needed to increase operational efficiency by leveraging new technologies through automationBachelor degree in computer science, Managed Information System (MIS) or related fields, or Associate degree with at least 2 years of healthcare IT experienceMasters or higher in information, computer science, or engineering field Formal training or certificate in programming or database analysis0-2 years, preferably in a health systemPreferred experience with health plan or healthcare provider clinical systemsExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to work as an effective team memberAbility to rapidly build an understanding of and creates the solution to complex technical and organizational needsDemonstrated good verbal and written skills to communicate clinical application technology to clinical audiencesKnowledge of system analysis and designKnowledge in:Traditional healthcare technologies e.G.

EHRs, HIE, HL7, CDA, FHIR, telehealth, remote monitoring, secure messagingHealthcare terminologies and ontologies e.G.

CPT, ICD, HCPCS, LOINC, SNOMED-CT, RxNorm, GPI Federal and State regulations and governance relating to clinical technology, data security, and Medicare and Medicaid regulations e.G.
