Ensure all regulatory requirements are met Lead and manage Population Health Equity teams as they research, develop, design, and implement anti-racist and population health management programs and products Lead efforts to combat structural racism and improve the outcomes of healthcare for all patients served by Company of CA providers Partner broadly with leaders across Company, in our provider and community partner networks Establish culture of continuous improvement and excellence in delivery Improve collection of patient race, ethnicity, and language preference data across the enterprise, and leverage it to inform program design and implementation Implement programs designed to decrease differences in access to digital health by race, ethnicity, language, and community of residence Lead effort to identify and eliminate racialized medicine in clinical care (e.g.
remove inappropriate use of race in clinical algorithms) Support the evolution and expansion of social determinants of health screening and connections with resources to mitigate the gaps Support internal policy development that eliminates discriminatory behavior within Company of CA offices, clinics, hospitals, and all areas of administrative operations Communicate portfolio of work both internal and external to the organization, motivating clinicians, staff, employees, and partners to engage in the new portfolio of health equity work designed to fight racism Support development of external policy positions on issues of health equity and racial justice Participate in establishment of payer contracting strategy to reduce inequity and fight racism Knowledge and Experience Active, unencumbered MD, DO, NP, RN or LVN license in CA required Candidates with post-graduate degrees (e.g., MBA, MPH, MMM) and/or bioinformatics preferred (not required) 3-5 Years of direct patient care experience required 5 years leading a population health management program for a payor or health system required 6 years of experience leading and managing teams required 3-5 years of experience in design, implementation and oversight of utilization management and medical care management programs Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality and safety and specifically the application of health equity, either in clinical operations or research and innovation Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading complex projects and teams involving clinicians and administrators and community partners Strong commitment to health equity for all communities, including communities of color, LGBTQ, and women Proven ability to develop and lead high performing teams, with experience growing a rapidly scaling organization Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute strategy—and be creative about design, development, and delivery Strong leadership, management, and mentoring skills Proficient in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving and decision making Ability to build and manage relationships with senior leaders in a highly complex and changing environment Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and group facilitation skills required, with the ability to convey complex or technical information in a manner that others can understand at all levels of an organization Comfort in speaking in front of large audiences as well as C-suite level executives Strong critical thinking skills required, particularly to evaluate and respond to leadership teams and manage related team dynamics Position requires flexibility to work remotely with travel to practice locations as needed with the ability to meet multiple deadlines and handle interruptions to on-going work activities
