Client Operations Associate – Wealth Management

This is a Contract position in Morristown, NJ posted January 31, 2022.

OPEN POSITION: Client Support Associate – Wealth Management

SALARY RANGE: 50K+ Range plus 3% bonus target (Non-exempt role)

LOCATION: Morristown (In office with covid protocols followed)

Our client is the Wealth Management RIA subsidiary of a financial company with 3000 employees and a strong plan for growth, both organically and through acquisition. The company is seeking an entry level Client Support Associate to work out of their Morristown, NJ office. They are looking for go-getter business graduate that has interest in the Wealth Management industry or someone with 0-2 years of experience in Financial Services operations.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under close supervision, this position performs various operational and administrative activities related to client relationships and account administration. This person may interact with clients on obtaining approvals so professionalism and communication skills must be exceptional.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Processes all client requests including deposits, disbursements, transfers, account openings and closings on a daily basis. Executes daily pending transactions such as client bills, check requests, wire transfers, ACH transactions, and depositing checks.
  • Communicates directly with clients to obtain approvals, when necessary, in collaboration with client team members.
  • Works on all types of correspondence and reports. Is responsible for the organization, maintenance and storage of client files on Salesforce (includes bills paid, tax returns, funds transfer requests, correspondences, etc.).
  • Researches and resolves discrepancies and client inquiries. Communicates with third-parties on behalf of clients to gather information and resolve issues.
  • Assist with preparation of client meeting materials.
  • Handle clerical responsibilities such as phones, mailings, copying and scanning.
  • Assists the department manager in special projects as required.
  • As a member of the administrative team, you may be called on to assist with mailings and other initiatives impacting the entire company. Part of a team offering administrative support within the organization such as room reservations, client meeting setup and breakdown, maintaining a clean office space, etc.

SKILLS AND TRAINING

· Bachelors Degree in Finance, Economics or other related specialty; 0-2 years of experience preferred

· Proven ability to prioritize and organize work within a fast-paced environment without losing accountability of personal and team goals.

· Ability to organize, analyze and interpret financial data to solve accounting issues under minimal supervision.

· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, ability to multi-task and effective time management skills are required to efficiently manage assigned tasks.

· Strong organizational, analytical, and accounting skills are required to oversee client transactions, identify and resolve account issues and to ensure the accurate delivery and tracking of client requests.

· Knowledge of investments and financial industry as they relate to client transactions would be beneficial.

· Considerable knowledge of and/or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of applicable laws, rules and regulations governing trust administration.

· Knowledge of Schwab Advisor Center, Fidelity Wealthscape, Salesforce, and Tamarac, or the ability to learn such a system.

· Advanced knowledge of keyboard and PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

· Strong oral/written communication skills.

· Ability to work with a wide variety of personalities in a courteous and efficient manner.

· Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $53,000.00 per year
