Wholesale Payments Business Transformation – Vice PresidentWholesale Payments (WP) Business Transformation is a strategic and execution-focused group. Wholesale Payments sits at the intersection of finance and technology in an industry undergoing a major transformation.Business Transformation supports the business on a project basis, which are team-based and include regular interaction with Wholesale Payments executives.Key responsibilities include:* Work with business leaders to design and agree on future objectives and ensure prioritization;* Drive ownership and shepherd execution of key initiatives;* Ensure alignment, provide oversight and drive prioritized initiatives and strategiesWe are seeking a Vice President to join the group and help define business growth strategies for WP.Specific capabilities required for the position include:* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, including the ability to work with colleagues at all levels as a peer and achieve goals without direct control over resources* Comfortable handling complex projects and working effectively with cross-LOB stakeholders* Strong end-to-end problem solving skills, e.g.,* Define, frame and deconstruct large, business-wide problems* Prioritize issues, analysis and team capacity* Structure and build quantitative and qualitative/conceptual analyses* Perform competitor/industry research leveraging both public and non-public sources* Identify implications and drive to major decisions with solid rationale* Articulate and concise communication skills, with experience speaking to executivesQualifications* 4+ years management consulting, investment banking or corporate strategy experience* Payments experience preferred; wholesale banking and B2B payments background is a plus* Track record of managing work teams with high marks on mentorship and coaching* Outstanding ability to communicate effectively and confidently (oral and written)* Distinctive problem solving skills; able to break down and structure complex problems* Ability to influence across business lines, cultures, functions; drive results without direct control* Strong project and process management skills* Open to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers* Excellent command of MS Excel and PowerPoint; familiar with analytical and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, R, SAS, etc.)
