The CIB F&BM Global Program Management (GPM) organization is the Change Management function for CIB Finance and Risk.
Within GPM the CAP, Controls and Innovation pillar provides program and project management support to large scale, strategic Accounting Policy and Control related initiatives that are sponsored by the CIB Controller and the CIB Finance Control Manager.
Additional stakeholders include: Corporate Accounting Policy, Legal Entity Controllers, Financial Controllers, Product Controllers, CIB Treasury, CIB External Reporting and Corporate Tax.
This team has previously managed projects like CECL and IFRS9 implementation for CIB Controllers.
As a Project Manager, you will lead and deliver Accounting Policy and Control related projects supporting various key initiatives for the CIB Controllers organization.
Among other projects, this role will manage the review of the Local GAAP Operating Model agenda.
Key Responsibilities: Partner with Business Leads in CIB Controllers to define project objectives and scope Create and manage a project plan, including identification and management of risks/issues/assumptions and dependencies, by partnering with business leads and stakeholders Develop operating models for new or enhanced processes through collaboration with stakeholders, this includes: workflows, RACI charts, etc.
Establish and manage effective project governance and communication framework, ensure proper syndication of key decisions Lead discussions with Business Leads and Stakeholders to manage project deliverables Manage communication of status updates to stakeholders and Senior Management, this includes presenting updates at various forums and producing timely status updates through scorecards Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in CIB Controllers, Corporate Accounting Policy and Corporate Finance teams Qualifications: Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required 7+ years work experience in financial services, preferably with project management experience; internal JPMorgan experience preferred Previous experience in an Accounting or Controller role; with solid understanding of CIB products, infrastructure and financial reporting processes Communication / Influence Excellent ability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge, and confidently speak about these processes Ability to lead and influence without having positional authority, and communicate effectively at many levels of the organization including senior management Proven ability to work across diverse groups, build consensus and execute the agreed plans Ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships and gain consensus on key decisions Soft Skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple streams of work concurrently Must be detail oriented, highly responsible and able to work with tight deadlines Strong team-orientation and leadership skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strategic thinking and problem solving; ability to define a problem statement, define alternatives and draw conclusions; sound judgment with a control mindset Ability to quickly learn and present confidently Technical Proficient knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and PitchPro required, with working knowledge of Excel and Sharepoint Strong data analysis skills Experience in developing project plans and managing their execution Experience designing operating models, creating new operating models and reviewing end to end processes to identify opportunities for improvement JPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
