Chief Accounting Officer

We are seeking a Chief Accounting Officer to join a growing global accounting team.

This person will report directly to our Chief Financial Officer and will manage all day-to-day operations within the Accounting Department.

This person will be located in Austin, Texas and relocation assistance may be offered for the right fit.

Responsibilities Monitor compliance with US GAAP and company procedures Oversee all SEC reporting and regulatory guidelines Ensure technical excellence across the finance and accounting teams internally and in dealing with the SEC, external firms, board requirements and other stakeholders Understand, interpret and provide guidance on existing and new regulatory guidance Lead major accounting initiatives, specifically in association with Company transactions Manage General Ledger functions to assure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with standards and best practices Prepare financial statements and reports to summarize and interpret the company’s current and projected financial positions whilst ensuring integrity of all financial information.

Ensure excellence in internal and external audit procedures Review, investigate, and ensure accuracy in financial entries, documents, and reports including month and year end procedures Supervise all Accounting functions including Accounts Receivable and Payable and fixed assets Determine goals and plans for the Accounting Department in conjunction with CFO.

Coordinate with members of the team to ensure accuracy and efficiency is maintained.

Oversee accounting for payroll, workers’ comp, healthcare, bonuses, bank reconciliations, etc.

Manage, train, recruit and supervise the accounting staff Requirements Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance – Masters preferred CPA Certification 10 years’ experience overseeing an accounting team, preferably with international responsibilities Strong understanding ASC 606, Revenue from contracts with customers Strong understanding of SEC reporting requirements Previous experience in working with a global, publicly traded company in a management capacity If interested, please apply The Solomon Page Distinction Our teams, comprised of subject matter experts, develop an interest in your preferences and goals and we act as an advisor for your career advancement.
