Chief Accountant

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Silver Spring, MD that is seeking a Director of Finance (Accounting Manager). Duties Include:
- Director of Finance will be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures
- Reviewing bi-weekly payroll journal entries and payroll accruals for accuracy
- Overseeing payment of monthly expenses
- As a Director of Finance, you will be preparing monthly reconciliations and reports
- Maintaining timely and accurate financial statements
- Maintaining financial accounting systems for cash management and accounts payable
Job Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; MBA/CPA preferred
- Experience in a senior management position, preferably in a non-profit organization with a budget of at least $20 million; Healthcare or medical related experience preferred
- Proficient in the use of financial management software (SAGE INTACCT)
- Experience/knowledge of non-profit U.S. GAAP accounting, including compliance and reporting
- Experience/knowledge of uniform administrative requirements, cost principles and audit requirements for Federal awards
