The Business Banking Sales Manager- Upper Business Banking (BBSM) is responsible for growing the Upper Business Banking ($3-25MM in annual sales) Sales Teams’ capability, drive consistency of delivery of BB sales processes, and increase sales execution disciplines across the footprint. The role will report to and partner closely with the UBB National Sales Director to drive UBB MM & RM behaviors to effectively serve business owner needs within the UBB segment, including clients with more complex credit and cash management needs. The UBB Sales Manager will drive performance results through directing and guiding sales and service behaviors for Upper Business Banking products, referrals, customer segmentation, and partnerships. As a member of the sales leadership team, the successful incumbent will share best practices, assess needs, partner to build action plans, and provide feedback and support to UBB Market Managers. The BBSM also assists in executing sales management routines, key risk and operational deliverables along with administrative needs of the UBB NSD as assigned.
Translate Business Banking sales strategy into actionable plans for the UBB Channel, diagnosing team performance and developing plans with UBB National Sales Director to drive sales productivity.
Drive EDGE Sales & Sports Coaching Process adoption and high level execution. Observe behaviors in the field; provide feedback, develop and deliver skill builders and ensure consistent delivery of EDGE sales process across the UBB Channel.
Support the UBB National Sales Director with segment specific leadership duties e.g. (internal and external community events, pipeline and forecast management, research projects, watch list, deal screen, SCAN No Feve, KYC due diligence, referral mngt.)
Manage Administrative tasks (Expense Management; Cluster changes; Onboarding/Offboarding; Report consolidation) & other Special Projects as assigned by UBB NSD
Work with UBB National Sales Director to execute on partnership routines and enhance relationships with Regional Presidents, Merchant, Payroll, Cash Management, Commercial Banking, Customer Service Center, Mortgage, Wealth and product partners
Consult, train, mentor, and coach UBB Market Managers in the areas of Sales Management, performance, effectiveness, and partnerships.
Bachelor’s Degree; in Finance, Business Administration, Insurance, Economics, Communications or Equivalent field.,or equivalent work experience; 9-12 years; Experience in Banking Operations, Retail or Credit. License/Certification/Designation: ChFC, CLU, other industry designations desirable, Ability to apply independent judgment,Ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment,Excellent verbal and written communications necessary in order to talk to producers/customers about product features and to help in the sales process,Highly organized and able to work independently,Proficiency with computers and common office software,Proficient with Microsoft Office products,Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to use financial models,Understands state and local laws necessary to understand the legal implications of certain product features in different states,Understands the consequences of not following the FINRA rules, Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking.
