Business Analyst Job Responsibilities:
Develop, document, and track (using Excel and other tools) requirements, deployment status, and outcomes of deployment projects.
Develop, track and be responsible for adjustments to complex deployment plans, frequently accommodating multiple, interdependent user and technical interdependencies.
Track and manage issues and issue resolutions Perform complex ad hoc and routine analyses in Excel.
Prepare high-quality reports in PowerPoint and Visio.
Prepare project-initialization documents, functional specifications, and other project management process documents.
Provide occasional testing support for Quality Assurance.
Provide support for Business and IT end users’ day-to-day systems concerns
– including performance-consulting activities and assistance with issue resolution.
Perform detailed research to clearly describe and document user requests.
May require dealing with vendors and other outside contacts.
Job Requirements:
Expert Excel skills Expert skills in the analysis of large data sets and application to deployment scheduling Very strong understanding of issue and risk management, especially including clear communication of issues and status Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong experience working on large scale desktop deployment (or similar) projects Strong conceptual understanding of the systems development lifecycle Exposure to financial environment and software license management Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience 2-5 years of related work experience
