Boston Consulting Group: It Lead Engineer I – Finance

WHAT YOU’LL DOWe are making a significant investment in platforms to support our Treasury and Tax capabilities within the Finance function. You will work closely with Treasury and Tax business stakeholders to elicit business and non-functional requirements, perform gap analysis and feasibility checks, write clear and comprehensive specifications and end-user documentation, configure changes, and work with other team members to develop and execute comprehensive test plans. You will also support end-user issues and questions, troubleshoot and provide knowledge transfer to the operations team. You will be asked to develop a strong expertise in platforms such as Reval, Fides and Equus Pinpoint.YOU’RE GOOD ATEliciting and documenting system requirements and developing a detailed understanding of system functionality in order to serve as a subject matter expert for multiple applications within the teamProactively identifying and independently solving most non-routine problems by applying broad knowledge, troubleshooting system issues as they ariseWorking independently with minimal day to day guidance, prioritizing your time and communicating clearly at all levels of the organizationDefining and executing multiple tasks or more complex tasks with timely, high quality resultsActively monitoring and resolving issues with a sense of urgency, proactively communicating to keep key stakeholders and management team informedApplying Agile product delivery methodologies and principles, including work estimation techniquesLearning new tools and technologies with a high degree of technical competenceWorking with multicultural distributed team located in different time zones and have the capacity to work on multiple projects concurrently.YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, required. Major in Business, Finance, Technology or related field encouraged.Proficiency in writing requirements in both agile user story and traditional formats, creating end-user documentation, writing SQL queries, and showcasing (demoing) work in process to clientsMinimum 8 years hands-on experience supporting systems in an analyst role with demonstrated progression in responsibilityExperience working with cloud-based financial or operations platforms including a basic understanding of integrations, APIs, single sign-on, and data visualization.Proficiency in speaking, writing, reading and presenting in English is requiredExperience working with Treasury Management, Tax Management, or Financial applications is preferred.Must be open for flexible working as per business needsYOU’LL WORK WITHA dynamic group of cross-functional global agile team-members representing Treasury, Tax, Finance, IT, and Change Management at all levels of their career.
