EAC Network seeks a Senior Bookkeeper for the Finance Department, located in Hempstead, NY.
The position is full time, Monday-Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM with excellent benefits medical/dental/401K and very generous Paid Time Off (PTO).
Primary Purpose of Job:
The Senior Bookkeeper is responsible for performing accounting and related functions for the Finance department.
Accounts receivable
– creation and booking of certain predetermined claims (billing) associated with program contracts, including closeouts.
Tracking and reporting of program expenses against the contracted budget as well as creating budgets.
Reconcile, allocate and complete payment requests on all monthly agency insurance and fringe benefit payments – medical, dental, life, worker’s comp, insurance.
Includes COBRA and Other AR reconciliation.
Allocate color copier expenses, to program as printing expense on a monthly basis.
Perform bank account reconciliation for predetermined bank account.
Responsible for reconciling Health Home receipts.
Verify and sign-off on paid Payment Requests.
Backup for maintaining cash position and flow analysis on a weekly basis.
Backup for completing Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR) for agency.
Backup for quarterly fringes Backup for Accounts Payable Assist with Finance Department filing.
Assist Finance Department with workload as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Finance or related field required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of two years of Finance or related work experience with good numerical skills required.
Excellent communication, organizational, data entry and numerical skills required.
Must be proficient in computer applications or other automated systems such as spreadsheets, Microsoft Office applications, calendar, and email and/or database software necessary to perform work assignments.
