Citrin Cooperman is seeking a Bankruptcy and Restructuring Services (BRS) Senior Associate for the firm’s New York City office.

The BRS Senior Associate is responsible for executing and training BRS Associates on turnaround, restructuring and bankruptcy related engagements, including bankruptcy litigation matters, and addressing complicated issues under the direction of a BRS Principal, Director or Manager.
Primary Responsibilities:
Developing and analyzing 13-week cash flow models.
Building customized integrated 3 statement financial models.
Developing liquidation models and scenarios.
Performing cash collateral analyses.
Performing ad-hoc financial analyses and sensitivity analyses.
Assisting with the preparation of high-quality reports and presentations for clients.
Evaluating business plans and providing insights and recommendations to the BRS Manager.
Evaluating strategic alternatives to maximize value during the bankruptcy and/or restructuring process.
Preparing analyses related to bankruptcy litigation issues e.g.
preferences, fraudulent conveyances, solvency, and summarizing findings for counsel in report format with corresponding exhibits.
Performing detailed research using Debtwire, PACER, S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg and other bankruptcy and restructuring related resources to identify prospects and prepare proposal materials.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or a related field.
3-5 years of work experience with a large accounting firm or consulting firm specializing in restructuring and turnaround services, as well as bankruptcy consulting and litigation support services.
Basic knowledge of the bankruptcy process.
Excellent analytical and research skills.
CPA license or working toward a CPA is preferred.
Master’s degree, MBA, CFA, CTP, or CIRA is beneficial.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
Willingness to travel is preferred.
