OverviewPrepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual account roll forward schedules for various balance sheet accounts for Atlas Air and Polar Air.
Prepare monthly and quarterly expense analysis and variance to plan explanations.
Assist in the documentation of Sarbanes Oxley section 404 compliance.ResponsibilitiesPrepare analysis to ensure accurate expense recognition in accordance with GAAP.Manage the Month-End Close process to support appropriate accounting including but not limited to prepaid, accrued liability and direct expenses.Interpret and summarize accounting impact on long term contracts.Assist in control documentation and remediation of SOX controls relating to sales to cash process.Partner with outside auditors, Atlas accounting, finance and operational personnel on reports and variances.Partner with the Manager, Finance-Ground Operations with annual/semi-annual budget and forecast requirements.Work with vendors to obtain credits and or adjustments for all mischarged events.Special projects as assigned.QualificationsBachelor’s degree required, Accounting highly preferredCPA a plus (with Big 4 experience)5-7 years’ experience in accounting and/or financial analysis requiredExperience working with public reporting companiesExperience working with budgeting, forecasting, P& L analysis and cost benefit analysisStrong IT systems knowledge including WORD, EXCEL, and PowerPointKnowledge of Sarbanes Oxley, particularly Section 404Highly organized individual with emphasis on accuracy and timelinessJD Edwards software experience helpfulAbility to work effectively with large groups of dataAirline experience a plusAvailable to work extended hours as neededThe Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
