Assistant Controller – Construction

Overview: Established and growing real estate investor/manager/developer seeks a leader to manage the accounting of the development and design division.

Report to the Corporate Controller and work closely with the VP of Construction & Design, as well as Project Managers.

Oversee a small accounting team and develop processes and procedures to create efficiencies.

What you’ll do: Direct the daily activities of the accounting department for the Development and Design division Oversee the ongoing financial management of Development company projects utilizing existing and new financial templates and procedures Manage the monthly close process in a prompt, timely and accurate manner including job costs integrity Oversee the preparation, review and analyze monthly financial reports Oversee the preparation of annual plans, forecasts (including cash), and budgets for construction activities Collaborate with external venders, consultants and contractors in the fulfillment of the above What you’ll gain: Executive level exposure and influence with a profitable, growing company Supervisory and complex non-profit experience Competitive compensation, excellent benefits, 401K match Who you are: Bachelor’s degree in accounting required 7 years of relevant accounting experience in a leadership position Real Estate Development industry experience Job cost accounting experience
