Assistant Controller

A well-established engineering services company in Arcadia, CA is looking for an Assistant Controller.

The company is looking to upgrade and further professionalize its accounting capabilities.

This person will also have opportunity to grow with the organization and be promoted to other roles.

Primary responsibilities will consist of the following: * Financial statements, closing, and associated processes and procedures* Financial reporting and analysis* Monthly balance sheet and bank reconciliations* Technical accounting research* Staff supervision and training* Collaboration with and support of other departments* Administration of the ERP system* Preparation for and coordination of the audit* Internal controls* Ad hoc projects The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and good communications skills.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following qualifications: * 7+ years of experience in accounting positions with progressively increasing responsibility* Experience with architectural, engineering services, or construction firms* Solid technical accounting knowledge with a particular emphasis on ASC 606* Strong communication and leadership skills* Ability to work with technology to extract and analyze data* CPA required The company offers outstanding benefits along with good work / life balance.
