We have an excellent opportunity for a Assistant Controller position.

As the Assistant Controller, you will assist in supervising the accounting staff and report to the Controller.

How you will make an impact

– Uphold to ensure a competent, trained staff through development, regular assessment, and goal setting

– Stimulate accountability and the meeting of deliverables

– Aid implementation and guarantee adherence to accounting policies and procedures

– Innovative preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits

– Partake in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting

– Distinguish and evolve process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency

– Deliver regular account reconciliation to completion

– Supplementary duties as assigned

– Backfill for Controller as needed

– Test and produce Ad Hoc financial reports

– Draw up numerous procedures, policies, and technical accounting analyses

– Establish relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

– Support the accounting team during the closing process to confirm deadlines are met

Job Requirements:

– Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
– Operations experience preferred
– Practical knowledge of Hyperion Financial Reporting
– CPA experience
– General familiarity with Essbase
– Manufacturing experience desired
– Demonstrated knowledge of AS400
– Adeptness in SAP
– Deep understanding of operations
– Command of sales
– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
– Accurate knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
– 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
– Certified Public Accounting license or exams in progress
– Noteworthy accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
– Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
– Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
